ConCad Engineering Vehicle-mounted LiDAR is designed to capture street data, which can be used to automatically extract roadway markings, pedestrian structures, manholes, and curbs. The data from the automatic extraction of different target types from the point clouds were used to produce and auto-cad drawing to submit to various municipalities. This process will allow us to accurately apply for a right-a-way permit for various clients when they are building within an urban environment. The turn-around time from scan to permit has increased the cost savings to the client.
