Ohh, and our very own Paola Arce participated raising money to benefit the Big Brother Big Sister Association.

Kicking off our series of In The Community initiatives, Paola raised money literally one penny at a time using a Penny War format in which CCS employees were encouraged to drop their pennies into one of two jars. In a penny war, two or more groups compete to win a fundraising competition. Each group has a jar for collecting coins or dollar bills. The value of any pennies collected by a group count positively toward that group’s point total, while the value of other coins or dollar bills are subtracted. And it was on at CCS!
“CCS has long felt a connection and a responsibility to our community,” stated Arce. “The office penny war, and ultimately, the run, are testimonies to that. Giving back is more than feeling good, it’s providing hope and happiness to those less fortunate. I believe our community initiatives show our strength not simply as people, but as a company.”
CCS In The Community initiatives include…
- St. Jude’s research fundraiser
- Feed My Starving Children fundraiser
